Reporting to the Director, Impact & Insights you will actively contribute to a high-performing team and drive impact by working productively and efficiently whilst collaborating closely with other Focus & Enabler areas and Corporate Services as part of our matrix structure and championing our One Minderoo Culture. Focusing where applicable on partners, stakeholders and beneficiaries to develop and execute a content strategy aligned with Minderoo’s strategic goals.


As Principal, Impact and Insights, your role is to provide strategy, measurement and learning advice and support across Minderoo. Supporting and facilitating impact and learning for Focus Areas and Impact Mission’s teams, the development of theories of change, measurement frameworks and monitoring activities, data collection and analysis.


Manage a strategic learning agenda for Minderoo to confidently define and answer key strategic questions. Stewarding impactful reporting and storytelling to stakeholders as well as developing and delivering training programs, workshops and resources to build the learning and insights capability of the organisation.


Your will


  • Provide strategic support to the Executive Director, Natural Ecosystems (NE) to shape and advance the NE portfolio, contributing to strategic planning, prioritisation and portfolio development aligned with Minderoo’s 2030 Strategy.
  • Design and facilitate strategic planning and learning workshops to support alignment, prioritisation and adaptive decision-making across the portfolio.
  • Coordinate portfolio oversight and governance processes, including work planning, project approval processes and internal progress reporting.
  • Prepare high-quality strategic briefings for the Board, Executive Leadership Team and key stakeholders to support global advocacy, engagement and strategic positioning
  • Support financial planning and portfolio management, including budgeting, reforecasting and resource planning in collaboration with FP&A.
  • Leverage impact data, evidence and insights to inform strategy and portfolio adaptation, enabling teams to identify opportunities, manage risks and improve outcomes.
  • Promote evaluative thinking and continuous learning across the organisation, embedding learning and adaptation into strategy development and program implementation.
  • Design and implement evaluation and learning activities to assess program effectiveness, refine theories of change and inform the evolution of the portfolio
  • Translate insights into compelling reporting and strategic storytelling for internal and external stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making and building trust and credibility.
  • Collaborate across Minderoo and the broader sector, identifying opportunities for alignment, innovation and shared learning while staying abreast of emerging trends and best practice in systems-led strategy and learning.
